They had $59M cash last quarter. They have not yet reported the most current earning. Unless you know something that the public don't,
why do you think they are in finanical trouble?? Certainly if XCTL goes to zero, INEL intrinic vlaue will be reduced. However XCTL is still profitable and will contribute 1-2 cent earning this quarter.
Yes. XCTL didn't meet the $treet's estimate. Is XCTL in some sorts of finanical trouble to keep it from functioning? No.

The troubling aspect of the potential spin off is Uncle Sam. Since they just spined off 20% recently, they will incur heavy tax liability so they may have to wait for a few months.

The sell-off was way overdone IHMO. But this is how the $treet works. You will never step on or crush a guy until he is down. There has been no downgrade on INEL this week. I also check on the open interests (as of yesterday) on the put and calls, if there were bears, it sure doesn't show it:

The prems on puts were virtually nil. That should tell you a bottom
has been reached. I do agree INEL will be dead money for awhile. But
if you have a 12-month horizon, INEL offers excellent risk/reward play.
