Terry,I guess I know what you mean about Gurnee. For its size or perhaps because of it ,it seems empty on week day afternoons. On the other hand when I was there on a week-end it was packed .Is that normal as far as malls go? I live on the far south side of Chicago and Gurnee is Shangra-la in comparison to the local fare.Power shopping teachers at my school speak highly of it.

RAIN got some play in the Investor's Business Daily (IBD) today Pp B2-B3 had a lengthy interview with three hot small cap managers, one of which was Dan Perkins of the Perkins Oppurtunity(I believe he also put some personal venture capital into RAIN.He's one of the Minnesota Mafia that Fortune wrote about.A very nice fund too by the way) At any rate,Perkins talked about stocks in nine paragraphs and six of those were about RAIN.Here's a quote I think you'll enjoy "Their like Planet Hollywood but the rain forest theme appeals to a much wider demographic. It's real common to see three generations sitting at a table at the Rainforest."And that's why the Rainforest is more than just the latest trend.Trends generally don't encompass three generations.Peter Lynch would love this stock.Tho I think he'd still view it as needing to pass two more fire tests. The first is ,of course,is the Rainforest fatasy up to Disney World standards which I think is an affirmative. And the second, will it play in greed driven Las Vegas.A tougher test, but one I think we'll pass.

Getting back to the Monday Reuters announcement where the RAIN CFO stated "We're comfortable with the analysts' concensus (of $.44 ) for 1996.It's doable.I'm have a 95% cofidence level that we can deliver those expectations," (at a Piper Jaffray investment conference).First,is it common for a company to announce they are going to meet EPS expectations for the year halfway through the second quarter? That's pretty bold.Second, that's the first I heard of Piper Jaffray covering RAIN.They're a national firm, aren't they?Third,I guess the leash is off the stock.Appears they did invite some big boys to the Gurnee opening after all.

I checked out the closing quotes on five other restaurant stocks. They were all down today except for RAIN.

We should begin a pool on how much RAIN beats 96' expectations by.I say $0.21.What's your guess. Also what will the price of the stock be aat the end of the 4th Q?

Your riight,Rain is easy to go to hold.Have you been to the Woodfield Mall Rainforest ? How does it compare?

Talk with ya later.
Dennis
