This is an open post and is not directed to just one anyone in particular. I have just read most of the posts on this thread and have to wonder if this is the soap opera thread or one dealing with whether the TOU are still enforced.
Please to not respond to me that so and so did, said, or thought this or that. It really does not matter, at least not to the scope of this thread.
Regardless of the cause(s) and rightfully or wrongfully, it sure sounds like a lot of peoples' feeling have been hurt by others. Please do not respond to me by saying yours or theirs or others have or have not been hurt: that is not the point. The point is that such a discussion really need not be public. Go create a hurt feelings thread and hash it out there. Better yet, leave it to PMs.
Whether you want to hear it or not, this sounds like my kids arguing (you hurt my feelings first, no you did, no you did, etc.) so I will tell you what I would tell them -- for what it is worth (and you get to read it whether you want to or not because you all (all ya'll down here) chose to make this discussion public): either get over it (whatever "it" is -- and most of us could care less) and kiss and make up or decide not to get over it and leave each other the heck alone. If you don't like that idea, then perhaps a time-out is warranted. (I would have suggested a spanking and sending you to your rooms but that is too politically incorrect these days and might be taken the wrong way, so I won't suggest it.)
A good weekend to all (now that I have pissed a few people off to cap the week off).

PS -- In spell checking this (off of SI), my speel checker suggested that "PMs" should be "PMS." I sure hope someone else finds that as funny as I do.
PPS -- at the risk of being labeled sexist for the first PS (or more appropriately to prevent it), a recent study has revealed that men also suffer from their own form of PMS -- thus, it appears that PMS may be taking on its own unisex connotation and thus, no longer be (as) sexist to reference to pointless, emotional complaining. |
