What you are ignoring is that Borland made a profit this quarter and beat street estimates despite the fact that many of their new products like JBuilder are still in the infant stages of revenue recognition. Just wait until the products catch on big-time in the enterprise market... Many of the deals they made the past quarter and products they introduced will start to really catch on over the course of this fiscal year, which will translate to significant earnings and revenue increases. Shorting BORL at this juncture after two consequtive quarters in which they beat the street estimates is a risky bet.
