One more thing... really

Are there any other attempts (failed or successful) that have tried to consolidate the bar and tavern industry? IE, are there any nationwide bars, pubs, or taverns? I can't think of any. Is that possible?

Are there any laws to prevent bar/tavern franchises?

If not, somebody *will*.
