andrew, fortune october 17, 1994 this is an excellent article on mcd......buffett accumulated for over a yr before he published.....some sec rule where he didnt have to release...... formula by james cantaloupo pres of mcd intl.... pop of country per capita income --------------- x --------------- # people per mcd per capita income us of us = potential penetration of mcd in country x fortune calculated = 42,000 mcd's vs. 17,000 in 1997?? if you know buffett he loves buying when a company is out of favor... i have heard nothing but negatives for about 1.5 yrs.......as the article says.....only mcd could probably beat mcd........ fwiw, lars
