I dont short stocks , to risky, but I do buy puts. At the current time I have not on AOL because I would need to see a sucker rally back up to the 40's before I would feel comfortable doing that. As for PC prices going down that in itself would not be a good argument for more people buying computers and using AOL. I do get local news from
my local ISP so that is not unique to AOL. As time goes on the unique features that AOL provides will become fewer as most of it will be accessible from the Internet itself. AS for going Global , thats a plus for AOL but the cost of providing that service wont come cheap.
Thats big advertising dollars and start up costs. Remember its not how many subscribers they have thats important , its the margins which will be squeezed even tighter in the next year or so. Hey if you like AOL so much why dont you have a AOL e-mail address :-}
