I wonder how unanimous other horrible laws have been. Especially during the times when we considered blacks less than people, or when we considered American Indians a "problem" to be solved. You can often get 99 people to agree to do something less than optimal for everyone in a society. It is always easy to "blame" the minority for making you take such an action.

In this case a man did nothing more than challenge a few religious words as unconstitutional. If they were not religious words, people wouldn't care, and it is precisely because they ARE religious that it matters. They have always bugged me, although I am too apathetic to ever challenge anything like that. But bravo to this man, I'm glad he did it. Let us see what excesses and backlash the "majority" are willing to commit in their furor over the words "under God". It is always good to see what people are really made of, imo, and to what lengths they are willing to go in order to oppress and control their fellow men.
