Textiles: The move of the mills south, which Lizzie and AS would undoubtedly scream about were it happening now (unless, of course, they happened to be beneficiaries) was an example. That move helped transform and revitalize the South and end a hundred-year division caused by the Civil War.

But there is still East and West Germany.

We shall have to see what happens with the EU. The Old Fogeys may not be willing to tolerate the young upstarts.
