Andrew, RE: CSGI

Good question, CSGI was NOT originaly in the Y2000 business. They were among a list of other companies that moved companies from main frames to client/servers:

Migration Technology Initiative

As organizations move to open systems, they need tools and services to
ease the migration of their existing applications to open systems. But
selecting the partners with the right product and level of expertise can be
a daunting challenge. Since no single vendor can provide all the tools
necessary to migrate from the wide range of proprietary, mainframe,
mid-range and desktop products available today, Oracle has created the
Migration Technology Initiative (MTI). MTI members are technology
parters who offer tools and services to migrate to Oracle. This cooperative
effort ensures that customers can rely on MTI members to help speed the
migration of their databases and applications to Oracle.

During this time that they were working on mainframe to client/server conversions, they discovered that they could also confront the Y2000 problem using the same methods.

although CSGI has just been publicly traded since Sep., the Co. has been around for many years. (I made a full post RE: issue originaly when I first posted CSGI. I will go back and try to find it.)

good question.
