The sticking point seems to be twofold

I don't perceive any sticking point in the war on terrorism, per se.

Bush has said repeatedly, and Rumsfeld has said repeatedly, that every country that gives assistance is welcome to do it in its own way, and all assistance is welcome.

Tangible actions to assist the victims like medical care, blood transfusions, food, clothing, shelter, these are all needed, and apparently being provided by Australia, which is far closer geographically.

I am sure that whatever is needed, Indonesia and Australia know they can count on us.
