"Many of us remember the futuristic 20th Anniversary Mac" Yep, ... I was part of the CD-ROM design for that product; as a promo preview for marketing, and as a tutorial CD that came with it as you opened the box. Apple had hired us on for it, as result of previous successes we had done for them, for QTVR v1 & v2, and QT v. 2. They shipped us 2 of the new "20th Anniversary" toys (company code name: "Spartacus"). We opened the boxes, plugged 'em in, and said, "Huh ... ahh, wait a minute ... this is a 603 with sugary cake frosting.... WTF?!?!?!" We made a pretty darn good product out of it anway. Seeing Gil and Ellen finally leave that company was a godsend!
