My 2 cents on why Obama won.

1. The election was decided by about 1 million people in 9 states, sophisticated programming has narrowed these potential swing voters down to the county, the town and even their address. Obama and the Democratic party with their illegal methods of collecting untraceable campaign funds from all over the world, targeted these specific areas with 100's of millions of dollars of negative campaign adds against Romney. Romney responded slowly, choosing to wait until the last month to match the same kind of add coverage. In addition, polling in some of those areas was open for days prior to the election, where Democratic party workers, literally filled out absentee forms and walked people to the polling places to vote for Obama.

2. Since the election came down to a few areas, Obama was able to target these areas with federal stimulus dollars, which were appreciated by the voters and used in campaign adds; cash for clunkers, auto bailout, and mortgage foreclosure relief to name a few.

3. Romney selected a VP without regard for ethnicity, when more and more of the electorate has been conditioned to value diversity, multicultural values and that it's hip and cool to hang with people of color.

4. The mainstream media bias was never greater than during this election. They painted Romney as the out of touch, anti-women boogyman of the 40's, who wanted to protect the wealthy. And the boob tube focused electorate believe enough of it.
