HPT just announced it has issued 12 million new shares to a group of underwriters. biz.yahoo.com The price was 33 1/16. Also the underwriters have the right to purchase an additional 1.8 million shares at the same price over the next 30 days. It would seem that this would keep the price from rising for the next month. The ex-dividend date is December 29. I had been thinking of getting some HPT at this level, but may wait til the dust settles.
