I didn't write the article, I just pasted it here.

Your interpretation was foreclosures as a percentage of total mortgages. There's was the net increase in foreclosures versus last year. I pasted the online edition (of course). My home edition had a nice chart breaking down each county in NJ, with last year and this year's numbers. Much more visible to see the authors point of view.

All statistics can be manipulated to prove a point, so I agree, these are no different.
