Unfortunately cardboard cutout John Kerry is 'my' senator. One issue here that really crystalizes what a wishy-washy unprincipled politician he is is the windmill proposal for Long Island Sound, just off Cape Cod. This is a huge project that would produce huge amounts of clean renewable eletricity. Kerry refuses to take a position for or against. The Kennedys are rabidly against it even though JFK Jr. runs a windmill-bosting environmental group. (They own a big mansion compound on the water on CApe Cod. ) Walter Cronkite was vocally against it, but has since admitted his views were "not-in-my-backyard" motivated. (He owns a big house on Martha's Vineyard. ) The fact that Kerry and other liberals are not behind this porposal indicates they care more about their big summer property holdings than they do about reducing energy reliance on countries like Iraq and Saudi Arabia.
