You seem to believe you have an inside scoop on interpretation. The Jews are still waiting for their Messiah, but what they are waiting for is NOT what they expect. That is why I say they "get another chance," although, as we both know, being ingrained with a thought of what the Messiah is, and then being asked to accept something completely different, is a hard pill to swallow, and most will not. A chance is just a chance . . . not a guarantee by any means. I do not contradict rejecting the "genetic claim." I don't know why God chose the Jewish people to appear through, but He did. They will get a final hint about what is necessary for salvation, but they have to live through the Tribulation and accept him to claim it. Few will.
You think the prophecies have been fulfilled, and I do not. I suppose you think the world will go on for another million years? When do you think life on earth will be wrapped up and every soul ends up in Heaven or Hell? I believe it is after the Tribulation and a millennial reign on earth, but I'm unclear what you believe.
We shall see how things unfold. At some point, I think you will have to acknowledge that the "end-time" prophecies are a reality, or you won't, and we will simply die, and life on earth will go on forever, with death being the only way to enter Heaven. Too much said about being alive at the Second Coming to think your way, IMO. What do you believe about the Second Coming of Christ to earth? Has that already been fulfilled in your mind as well? |
