these are incredible statistics. I might even dare to say not credible statistics.

At peak of market 4000 funds now 4800. Need trend to reverse to signal an end of the bear.

I thought that in 2000 there were over 10,000 funds. So if there are 4800 now, that's a nice reduction.

The vacancy rate in the first Q of 2002 for homes rose to 9.1% which is the highest level since census started to track in 1960.

I don't know about this one either. There aren't any empty houses where I live. And since actual sales figures show housing (both new and used) at historical all time levels for units, how can there be so many vacancies.

Please enlighten, if you feel like it. But if you don't that's fine. I'll dig into into it some myself.

Very ominous numbers, if true.
