Sorry I didn't get to this. I'm just dashing out now. You know, I don't know the answer to that. I think my discussion with Tim is not so much about the policy of wartime detainment but rather how it is justified and how transparent the process is--and whether detainment is in the end Constitutional when done through executive fiat and without recourse to outside opinion or input beyond civil uprising. We did not get to the issue today, however. What do you think? I assume you are American. Do you feel executive fiat threatens your Constitutional rights and if you do are you prepared to accept it in order to get the job done?
