Idle musings...first of all, I was just checking out QLGC thread and am truly disgusted by a callous (not to mention ignorant and stupid) person who used the market reaction today to call this country "The United States of Greed" and went on to say this country has always been based on greed. What a dumb ass!

Actually today's market action was not as bad as it could have been. I expected a 10% drop for all averages. As I had said before the open, I went on to close all my existing short positions at the open. Although this was not a decision based on trading analysis, it turned out to be the smartest thing to do. I also bought a few stocks that hit my buy targets. Mike, I guess this makes me net long, but don't act on it! For the most parts I've held off because I am really not in the mood to play the market. As well, I think we can expect to be lower two weeks from now. At that time, the best course of action can be either long or short, but remains to be seen.

If I could figure out the airlines and the tourism stocks, I'd buy a whole bunch. Does anyone know if there is an "airline" index that can be traded? Other than that, my game plan for which stocks to buy and in which order remains unchanged from my earlier post.

all the best,
Sun Tzu
