If it wasn't so expensive to secure and dispose of the waste produced by Uranium in nuclear power plants the world would be using Uranium on a much larger scale.

Exactly.

And one of the fantastic benefits of using Thorium cycle nukes is their ability to take that waste that is now waiting to be buried in Nevada (not gonna happen) and disposing of it by the expedient of using it to make more power.

The benefits of this technology are overwhelming if folks seriously consider exactly what they are.
