I agree with X. It's too cool. I was tempted to get a post too and I don't know you or Lexington from Bumfu...well you get the idea. Except in a virtual sense.

I think this thing has some kind of nostalgic appeal which is broader than one might think. A bit of national web marketing could bid these things way up or at least sell em in a blink.

Heck, maybe you could create a security based on them called SPKR or HULL (they're available I think, I looked em up). Just to offset that not for profit blather with some good old greed.
