I think there are valid arguments on either side of this specific question. Should the government dictate that bars and restaurants (and grocery stores, etc.) be smoke free? I could go either way on it, since as you say I can choose to just not go into places where people are smoking.

I don't think the government should ban all tobacco products, simply because it wouldn't work. Doesn't work with pot, cocaine or heroin, either. I think they should all be legal, regulated and taxed.
