Reminds me of the "I saw him spit it out" joke.

Laywer is cross-examining an eyewitnesses in a case involving a fight in which the plaintiff's ear had been bitten off. He's brilliant, making the eyewitness admit that it was dark, that he was 40 feet away, that he didn't know the plaintiff or the defendant, that he didn't see him bite the ear off, etc.

"How do you know my client bit the ear off, then?"

"I saw him spit it out."

Clarke is the eyewitness--he said he solely approved the flights on his own volition, after consulting with the FBI. He's no friend of W. Why would he waste an opportunity to give W the business?
