My friend just got a job at ascend to work on testing some ATT WDM stuff, with some Ascend ATM switch. I am not a hardware enginner so can someone explain what implications does this have?. I thought Ascend did some WDM stuff with some Italian compnay called Piralle?. Any significane to this testing. Again please excuse my ignorance since I am not a hardware engineer. Why is their such an urgency to have WDM technology?. It seems that several people have been hired in this area. Does ascend stand to gain anything by this technolgy. Help the ignorant... Rajesh
