**OT** Bad Analysts list from Forbes ASAP

Bad Analysts

In the spirit of fair play, we
decided to analyze the analysts.
We talked to a number of mutual
fund managers and technology
stock watchers to see which tech
analysts they'd like to run off the
Street. Here's what they said:

Krishna Shankar, the San
Francisco-based analyst at
Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette...
generally too descriptive and not
analytical enough...was bullish
on AMD when the chipmaker
was consistently losing money
last year... was also negative on
Intel when it was a rising star.

John Lazlo at Paine
Webber...stretched too thin...not
up-to-date with the companies
he follows.

George Kelly at Morgan Stanley
Dean Witter... too Cisco-centric.

Tony Langham, formerly at
NatWest Securities...
recommendations of Motorola
sound like a stuck record.

Joe Bellace at Merrill
Lynch...too cursory in his
analysis and not anticipatory
enough.

Christopher Stix at Cowen &
Company... made poor calls on
3Com and Bay Networks...jumps
to conclusions too easily.
