Sorry to bring a reality shot into this conversation, you guys might like to learn that Chirac has never been so popular in France.

So what?? Domestic support is a no-brainer, if only because Chirac represents "French pride".. I'm talking about the rest of Europe, to whom Chirac attempted to dictate terms..

France is isolated in Europe.. So is Germany..

More governments in Europe are supporting this war than are opposing it.

And none of that support is going to create jobs in France to replace those which will be lost as other nations, including the US/UK, escalate their boycott of all things french.. Just let Saddam unleash one WMD against American forces and you'll see the popularity of France plummet..

And with Chirac backpeddling and telling everyone he'll support this war if Saddam uses WMDs, it's clear just how two-faced his rhetoric has been, and that he's been on the wrong side of this issue since the beginning.

Again.. let US/UK troops suffer a chemical attack and it will be the French, and to an extent Russia and Germany, who will become despised for not having the spine to deal with Saddam years ago..

And that's something Americans won't forget for decades..
