Frankly, I've never tried to time a stock before, but Tellabs is incredibly predictable compared to other stocks. It goes straight up and then retraces. Its chart has the regularity of breathing patterns. I'm also willing to do it because I have a huge gushing tax loss from some unfortunate investments in Axent and Manugistics, and I need some gains to offset. Otherwise I would never try it. I'll tell you how it turns out.
