Whites have moved out of Charlotte over the last 25 years, like most crime ridden democrat cities.

Charlotte has a crime rate above the national average. The total crime index for Charlotte is 648.0 crimes committed per 100,000 residents as of 2007. The national average is 320.9 per 100,000 residents.[33] The Charlotte-Gastonia Metropolitan Statistical Area ranked as the 12th "Most Dangerous Metro Area", by Morgan Quitno Press for the year of 2006.[34]

According to the Congressional Quarterly Press; '2008 City Crime Rankings: Crime in Metropolitan America, Charlotte, North Carolina ranks as the 62nd most dangerous city larger than 75,000 inhabitants.[35] However, the entire Charlotte-Gastonia Metropolitan Statistical Area ranked as 27th most dangerous out of 338 metro areas.[36]
