it is just the metastock way of not closing a directory if there was a crash while open. It does it all the time, no matter what data vendor you use. Never have a charting program open when you are downloading. If it crashes(?) during download just delete file and start over. Sean's response is first step. As for corrupted data, I have never seen any after 11 months of using QP2. Backups are good sense, I wish I did them. I have tape and zip drives gathering dust.
