Justa,re: <<<<<<<ctually, Marc asked me about the AMAT earnings and I asked him what in particular he wanted to discuss and I never heard back from him. He must be too busy counting his money <g>.>>>>>>>>

yeah trying to get those damn pennies in those little paper things is a real pain, I'll have to go buy one of those machines that do it next time. Actually among other things I was at the dentist and I wasn't in a good posting mood when I came back. The report seemed very positive to me including what I understood to be quite positive guidance and your comments appear to agree and amplify on this. I was all ready to chalk up big gains this week in my little personal semi capex mutual fund and then they come along and use this lower overall BTB as an excuse for the sector to sell off. I'm not sure if it means much if bookings are increasing nicely but shipments increased faster at this point. Some of the sell off in the afternoon seemed like some more of the high tech high P/E weakness that's been going on especially in the internets. We are now officially fighting the Fed and while this will be ignored for a while I suspect next we're going to start hearing hawkish comments from members which may put the shakes back in the bond market, anyway I digress. Thanks again for your sharp and edgy comments on AMAT

Marc
