U.S. Forbids Interview With Taliban Leader on Public Radio
Israeli media have yet another lesson to learn from the U.S. The U.S. State Department has forbidden Voice of America to broadcast an already-taped interview with Pakistani Taliban leader Mola Muhammad Omar. The State Department said that the American taxpayer need not pay for anti-American propaganda. Last week, many Israeli media pundits said that Israeli journalists could learn from the way in which their American counterparts covered the WTC and Pentagon attacks - without gory photos and without an immediate search for whom to blame.
