re:"Last Monday, Atiq Raza, AMD co-chief operating officer and chief technical officer, said that the Company will fall short of its goal of shipping 5.5 million units of AMD-K6(R) family processors in the current quarter. The shortfall will result in a significant loss for the quarter."

The most significant thing that I see here is that Atiq Raza is making the announcements and not Jerry who has a propensity, not so much for dishonesty, but for only giving the "good news" which in Wall Street jargon amounts to the same thing and, despite disclaimers, can and has resulted in lawsuits. If this is a new controlling internal trend it probably bodes ill for the stock in the short term; but good in the longer term as AMD achieves increasing credibility with all, including especially analysts, if it is not already too late.

Regards,

DARBES
