As I argued again and again, people aren't buying AMD chips because they have "some of the best CPU's on the market." They're buying AMD chips for two reasons:

1) They're cheap
2) They're ABI (Anything But Intel)

Knowing this will put some light on the paradox where AMD can lead in retail marketshare and at the same time announce significant losses ahead.
