I listened to Nettles on CNBC - what did he say? I think he said the focus was on building the company (i.e. not sell it). The CIEN chairman of the board is quoted as saying that maybe the merger discussions with TLAB caused them to take their eye off the business. If this is the case, and they now have their focus squarely on building the business, then they should be able to get back to restoring a high growth rate given their current installed base and qualified products. Cancel the orders for the new cars and boats and get back to work.
