Tonight I went into a Classic Stero store, which is a Michigan
chain that deals in high-end audio & video components. Sears
& Classic Stereo are the only stores I've seen which sell both
DirecTV and Dish Network systems, side by side. A asked the
salesman which systems are more popular. He told me that they
sell about three DISH systems for every DirecTV system. He went
on to say that Echostar has underestimated demand and that they
are having big-time difficulty getting systems in. This probably
explains why no DISH systems are being sold in Best Buys, Circuit
City, Radio Shacks or other mega-electronics retailers.
Good idea, Jeff, a motorized system. This seems to be the most
efficient (and economical) way to access all four "birds". It
would probably required a different receiver though, right?
