Speech is used to convey Ideas. When someone says something they intend to convey meaning. It was meant to mean what the person who spoke it meant it to mean. It did not mean what the person who heard it thinks it means unless that is the same ! Simply because there are many who do not understand the bible does not mean that it can not be understood by anyone ! You are right in this God did intend to hid truth from many and indeed they can not hear him except it be given by the Father. If it is vague to you you need to pray for God to open the eyes of your understanding. Gods Word has definate meaning !
