All very valid points... And yes... China is a true economic opportunity, but also a major upcoming rival who wants to play one-side game, similiar to what did Japan in..

It does exclude, in the discussion of China, the extent to which US made products are prevented from penetrating China's market.. Thus, the justification for trade sanctions.

It also excludes the fact that few foreign companies can purchase Chinese companies and directly compete, and even when they do, you're not permitted to export your profits.

So China's recent progress is economically encouraging, but politically the government is still fascist/socialist, ruled by power groups, not elected officials. And these power groups are capable of rending the country apart as they vy for ultimate power.
