Just a quickie, E. You begin by saying you take my word for the content of posts I identified and end by saying my depiction of my politeness falls short of perfect accuracy. Sounds like a contradiction to me. Not that I would claim perfection. I am certainly not going to recommend that you actually review the posts but am confident that a review would verify my claims. I acknowledged being rude to Joan -- more than once. I apologized or expressed regret or expressed respect for people with views other than my own -- more than once. Sort of a one way ride, don't you think, E? I don't recall being rude to the entire Grammar thread but, if you say so..... I must admit that you were conspicuous in focusing on the issue instead of the revolting nature of the question. Even though I think you flip flopped at the end, I compliment you on your thoughtful contributions. Final thought -- loggers and squirrels fit nowhere in my personal view of sacrifice comparable to "rape." The example I preferred was a young solider willing to face certain death for the sole reason of benefiting people he doesn't even know. Good wishes
