Ford, Motorola and Delphi Join SSA Technology Pavilion - Driver Focus

Warrendale, PA, Feb. 2, 2001 — During the Society of Automotive
Engineers (SAE) 2001 World Congress, the SAE Strategic Alliance (SSA)
will host the Ford Motor Company, Delphi Automotive and Motorola
Corporation in the SSA Technology Pavilion (booth #2558), March 5-8, 2001,
Cobo Center, Detroit, Michigan.

The SSA Driver Focus Technology Pavilion offers a unique opportunity for
SSA Partners to showcase their products or technologies that address
Driver Distraction issues in an exclusive exhibit at the 2001 Congress.

The SSA Technology Pavilion provides SSA Partners the platform to
highlight their technologies in developing solutions for driver distraction
between the driving task and handling the growing number of high tech
electronic devices such as cell phones, fax machines, personal computers
and navigational systems available in the modern automobile.

SSA is a corporate partnership of the mobility market leaders created to
solve strategic business and technical issues. SSA concentrates on
developing solutions for the issues that are of the greatest concern to the
SSA Partners through the close organizational communication formed
between SAE and the industry leaders.

SSA also is sponsoring two senior level management panels at the 2001
Congress. An executive panel discussion entitled, Driver Distraction’s
Impact on the Implementation of Telematics, is scheduled on Monday,
March 5, 1 p.m., Room M3-31 in Cobo Center.

The Impact of the Global Economy on the Implementation of the 42-Volt
Electrical Systems is scheduled on Tuesday, March 6, 9 a.m., Room M3-31
in Cobo Center.

Divided into two portions, this session will focus on the Impact of the Global
Economy on the Implementation of 42-Volt Electrical Systems. This
executive panel will include senior management of automotive market
leaders and address the opportunities and challenges associated with the
transition from 14- to 42-volt systems. Norman L. Traub, Director of SSA
42-V Initiatives will moderate this portion.

The second portion of the session, Service Issues for 42-Volt Systems, will
be a panel discussion covering the service and repair issues associated with
42-V. STS leaders, Robert Pattengale, Arizona Automotive Equipment
Solutions, and Mark Warren, Ease Diagnostics, will moderate this panel
discussion.

SSA/STS offer 42-volt Session at SAE 2001 World Congress

The SAE Strategic Alliance (SSA) in partnership with the Service
Technicians Society (STS) will offer 42-volt Executive Panel Discussions
during the SAE 2001 World Congress, Detroit, Michigan. The session will be
held on March 6, 9 a.m., room M3-31, Cobo Center.

Control, safety, entertainment and communication features continue to
multiply in passenger cars and light trucks. Current vehicle systems can no
longer support the additional demand for the generation and delivery of
electricity to power these features. To satisfy market demand, 42-V will
become a prerequisite for improved safety, comfort, convenience and
regulatory requirements for reduced emissions and fuel consumption.

The first portion of the session is entitled the Impact of the Global Economy
on the Implementation of 42-Volt Electrical Systems. This executive panel
will include senior management of automotive market leaders and address
the opportunities and challenges associated with the transition from 14- to
42-volt systems. Norman L. Traub, Director of SSA 42-V Initiatives, will
moderate this panel discussion.

The session is designed to offer perspectives from the United States, Asia
and Europe. Topics covered include the following: implementation drivers in
each region, key vehicle features that will drive implementation, and a
forecast of the vehicle segments within a region that will likely be equipped
first.

The second portion of the session, Service Issues for 42-Volt Systems, will
be a panel discussion covering the service and repair issues associated with
42-V. STS leaders, Robert Pattengale, Arizona Automotive Equipment
Solutions, and Mark Warren, Ease Diagnostics, will moderate this panel
discussion.

The STS panel will discuss the associated service challenges of a dual or
higher voltage electrical system, how the service community will deal with
the transition, training, development of tools, affect on diagnostics systems
and future safety issues.
