Why? I don't mean to be trite, but why do they need to change their logo...ever? Sell great computers and software at great prices and logo be damned. There are two ways to look at this, I think:

1. Build your new products and services around a trusted symbol.

2. Concede defeat, in a way, and create a new logo that will likely cause confusion more than anything else. "What is this new Apple?" "Do they still make a Mac?" Etc., etc., etc.

Let's save the logo redux until the brand has re-established itself.

Think Different, but not about the logo.
