CJ, the combination of deep deficit spending and the retiring Baby Boomer population is going to have a severe impact on inflation. Those who did the responsible thing and saved up will find themselves screwed, while those who are dependent on handouts don't have to worry because of cost-of-living adjustments.

Only thing the Fed could do to reign in inflation is to hike up interest rates, but then real estate will crash (among many other industries) and lots of politicians will not like that.

Got any alternative scenarios? Maybe productivity in America soars to match the increase in the money supply? Only if the dollar sinks so much that it costs too much to ship jobs overseas.
