Yes, news is significant ... and thats why, if you observe intra-day trades closely, you'll see that there were some huge buys on rising curves ... its only small-fries panicking and MMs taking advantage of the decelerated sentiment and loading up the gift-handouts from small to the big parties. The Market is the strangest place ... this is the only place where small, poor people give gifts to big shots! (then, later, the big-guys go out in real life, and conspicuously donate some to charities, ensuring the receipt for tax-deduction! :-) )
