It was amusing watching Hannitty(?) on Fox trying to turn public opinion against Paul. He and the GOPAC functionary agreed that Paul had disqualified himself by suggesting that US policies helped to bring about 9/11. Clearly the GOP establishment will use this to try to tar Paul as unpatriotic at best, a terrorist-lover at worst. I'm sure they will find a way to remove him from contention - democracy, US style.
