Dear Doug: Excellent points. Definitely a capacity exhaustion alleviator. The fibre boys will let the lessee buy the DWDM equipment. On the other hand as the fibre trunks reach exhaustion for their own lines (lines they don't lease) they will buy unless this new technology supersedes DWDM. JFD
