They want the draft to energize the college kids. Wouldn't have to go that far, I don't think. I seriously doubt you could find a consensus for a draft even among those who favor this war. There doesn't seem to be one on this thread. Seems to me that you need a war people think worth their lives or the lives of their kids before people would support sending people into battle involuntarily. That doesn't happen in discretionary wars.
