By the way, balding is not actually ugly, it is merely a matter of losing the raiment. If one is good looking, there is a lot left to enjoy. In fact, some men look good bald, which is why buzz- cuts and such are popular with some African- Americans and athletes. Also, there is not only the question of "looking good", but of projecting one's sexuality, which is mainly a matter of looking and behaving more masculine or feminine, as the case may be. The standard of male attractiveness is of necessity different. For example, think of Humphrey Bogart or John Wayne. In my own case, I was saved from being too "pretty" by having a large head, but it is possible that balding some, but taking away my luxurious curls, worked favorably to make me a bit more masculine....
