you are trying to compare a .13 IA32 product (Northwood) with a .18 IA-64 product (McKinley). Dont forget that Madison (McKinley shrink on .13) comes out fairly quickly after Mckinley. So, Madison needs to have 3 to 4 times performance of Merced.
