Yes, it's true that most rollbacks are done after slides and not after rises like Tecsyn has had, and that that may colour the way they are viewed. And maybe my expression "kill it" was a little harsh, but companies that can't resist the urge to diddle with the paper really irritate me. It's not like they're going to get into the TSE 300 with this market cap, so the only reason they can trot out is the old "mutual funds won't buy unless we're over 3 bucks" argument. Well, imho, let the mutual funds change their stupid rules.
There's Gentra as an example of a company who refrained from taking the sleazy short-cut of paper games, they plugged away and grew the company from thirty-some-odd cents to five bucks, the straight and honest way. Tecsyn could have done that.
This rollback was the first major negative for me, but not the only reason I sold, another was the fact that the best quarter of the year was out and it looks like there's not much more coming for happy stories in the near future, another is that I'm unwilling to leave serious cash tied up, being generally in a cash-generating mode.
I'll be watching TSN, still have a few, may pick up more in a dip or a general meltdown.
Luck to all ............... cheers ........... marcos
PS ... re your question 2; TSN doesn't export to Asia maybe, but could still be affected by cheap imports(?). But that's not a big deal in the long run, imho. |
