It seems the technical merits of AS/400 do not matter much in the marketplace. The AS/400 sales are declining (see the most recent IBM earnings report) while NT sales are growing at tripple digit rates. At this rate, AS/400 seems to be on its way to becoming a Wang, while NT has undeniable sales momentum, ISV support (due to # of seats), and will get technically improved in the future.
